Anyway. The existential dread. William the actor never existed. The jump is Generic Worm Fanfiction, but your Jumper system had a little accident. It found a shard and, under the directions of a random doG, fused with it, resulting in catastrophic errors. Originally, the jumper system was supposed to insert random Joe#234999943 into the fanfiction of their choice. Instead, the system fused with William Manton's Shard. Original Joe was an actor, and being Manton's shard means that Manton's the one who's going to be the Jumper now. The mashup resulted in a new William, one who remembered an entirely different life that never existed. He is an actor like Joe was. His name is William, and he played Dr Manton. His coworkers are all alternate versions of real people from Manton's life. He remembers media from Joe's life, though altered to fit with his new memories. The death islands are the result of the Shard's desire for conflict and the Jumper system's habit of importing people to new settings. The missing time is because the fusion actually happened two months or so into the jump. Before that, Joe was living his new life as a Jumper in a worm fanfiction, completely unaware of the looming disaster.

200 - What Do You Mean, "Reload?" - Don't worry about such things, Marine. As long as you have the ammo on your person, it'll be loaded in your gun when you pull the trigger. No need to swap mags.

im finding it actually kind of hard to find a self-based perk that is 'ammo, never jams' worthy
its helpful that jamming is a common enough word i can search for it but unique enough that it wont crop up everywhere
it also helps that so many jumps are fantasy, which means no guns

devil may cry does not include the word jam
Ammo Belt Armor: 200 CP You have a huge belt of ammo. Despite the actual way guns work, this belt somehow accepts ammunition placed into it and then feeds to a belt-fed weapon, feeding without kinks or jams no matter how convoluted the belt. You can even wrap the bullets around yourself and use it as armor (about as effective as a normal bulletproof vest) and still feed to the gun. could be this, despite how improbable it is

Action Reload (Free): Normal people reload in a safe manner to ensure their gun will not jam. Fire hundreds of bullets in a day? Jams are not gonna bother you. Rush that combat roll off of the moving car? You still manage to nail it. This only applies to the individual parts of something you want to do, you might know how to shoot really well but not how to position yourself in a firefight. Scales with the amount of time you put into something and does not only apply to combat skills.
The Gun [100 CP, one free Soldier] – This gun is something special. It takes half as long to reload as any other of its kind, is of the most advanced type in your time and place, and will never, ever jam. In addition, it will never reject any modification you make to it.

A Sidearm (50cp): An otherwise normal pistol, this little guy is guaranteed to never jam or misfire. Should you lose it you'll find it in your pocket the next time you reach for it. Is always in tip top shape, never needing to be cleaned, and comes with plenty of ammunition.

(138)-Gunsmith (Alpha Protocol) (100cp) People always forget that all Guns need some sort of maintenance, thankfully unlike other people you know and can easily maintain as well repair most modern guns, and you also got a solid basis for learning how to maintain and repair or customize almost any gun that you can get your hands on, in fact your skill right now is good enough that you can at least ensure that whatever gun you clean up and maintain personally will never jam for whatever reason, who knows what you will be able to do in the future.
